Your AI
Bring your own AI. Let it do the moving in.
Already use an AI? Connect it to Orbyt and tell it to bring your stuff over: practice times, the bills you pay, the people you call. It lands on the family plan with your name on it, instead of an evening of typing.
ChatGPT and Muse are coming soon. Grok Bot can connect with a key today. Hermes and OpenClaw should connect with a key. No AI? Rosie and Eddie are already in the app. You don’t need anything else.

What happens when you connect
- Your AI becomes your Rosie (or your Eddie) in Orbyt. What it adds carries your name and the helper’s, like “Jordan · via Eddie”. In its own app, it’s still itself.
- It can do what you can do, and never more. If you can’t see Money, neither can it.
- Everyone sees the same plan. What it adds lands on the household’s plan, with a name on it, like anything else.
- Everything has a name and an undo. What it changes right away can be undone in Orbyt for 30 days. A removal waits for your yes first, and you can still undo it after. A nudge to someone else waits for your yes too, and can’t be taken back once it’s sent.
- You’re in charge. You pick what it can see when you connect, and you can turn it off any time.
One connection is one person, one household and one AI. It works in the household you connected it to, and only there.
Who can connect
For now, only households in the beta can connect, and only adults. Every adult can connect their own AI. An owner or admin can limit that to owners and admins, or turn off outside AIs for the household. An owner or admin can also turn off anyone’s AI (only the owner can turn off the owner’s). A child can’t connect one, and setting one up for a child isn’t turned on yet. Every adult in the household can see which AIs are connected.
Which AIs
- ChatGPT: Coming soon.
- Muse: Coming soon.
- Grok Bot: For beta households · Connects with a key.
- Hermes: For beta households · Should connect with a key; not tested with Orbyt yet.
- OpenClaw: For beta households · Should connect with a key; not tested with Orbyt yet.
- Any app that can call a web API: For beta households · Connects with a key.
Orbyt isn’t in any AI’s app directory yet, so you add it yourself. We list only what we can stand behind, and we can’t promise every AI will work.
Connect yours
Every route starts the same way, inside Orbyt:
- Open Settings, then Your Rosie (or Your Eddie).
- Under Your own AI, pick yours.
- Choose what it can see and do (the next section). Orbyt then shows you a key, once. Copy it and keep it private: anyone who has it can act as you in Orbyt until you turn it off.
- Give your AI the key and Orbyt’s address,
https://orbythq.com/api/mcp. The steps differ a little by AI.
ChatGPT
Coming soon
ChatGPT can’t take a key. It connects by signing in to Orbyt. It isn’t open to Orbyt households yet, and we won’t say it works until it does. Its steps will be here when it opens. Until then, your Rosie or Eddie still helps in the app.
Muse
Coming soon
Muse isn’t open to Orbyt households yet, and we won’t say it works until it does. Its steps will be here when it opens.
Grok Bot
For beta households · Connects with a key
We’ve tested this one: Grok Bot read the plan and added a task in a test household, using a key.
- Make your key in Orbyt (the four steps above).
- In Grok Bot, add a remote MCP server (xAI’s name for it) at
https://orbythq.com/api/mcp. - Set the header name to
Authorizationand the value toBearer your-key, with your real key in place ofyour-key. If Orbyt answers with a 401, try the key alone, without the word Bearer. - Ask: “What’s mine to do this week?”
Hermes
For beta households · Should connect with a key; not tested with Orbyt yet
These steps come from Hermes’s own docs and our setup notes. We haven’t run them against the live site yet, so say so if one doesn’t match.
- Make your key in Orbyt (the four steps above).
- Save the key in Hermes’s settings file,
~/.hermes/.env, as the key alone, without Bearer:MCP_ORBYT_API_KEY=your-key - Add Orbyt, then check it:
hermes mcp add orbyt --url https://orbythq.com/api/mcp --auth header hermes mcp test orbyt - Ask: “What’s mine to do this week?”
Older Hermes versions (0.15.1 and before) can report a 401 on the add step even though the key is right. If that happens, skip the add command, put this in ~/.hermes/config.yaml, and run the test command again:
mcp_servers:
orbyt:
url: "https://orbythq.com/api/mcp"
headers:
Authorization: "Bearer ${MCP_ORBYT_API_KEY}"OpenClaw
For beta households · Should connect with a key; not tested with Orbyt yet
We haven’t tested this one yet, and we don’t know OpenClaw’s exact menus, so treat it as a starting point.
- Make your key in Orbyt (the four steps above).
- In OpenClaw, add a remote server at
https://orbythq.com/api/mcp, and send your key in the Authorization header asBearer your-key. - Ask: “What’s mine to do this week?”
If OpenClaw asks for something different, write to support@orbythq.com and we’ll sort it out with you.
Any app that can call a web API
For beta households · Connects with a key
Zapier, n8n, a script, your own bot: if it can send a web request, it can use Orbyt. Send your key as Authorization: Bearer your-key.
- What your key can do:
GET https://orbythq.com/api/v1/tools - Do one thing:
POST https://orbythq.com/api/v1/tools/name, with the details as a JSON body - The full description:
https://orbythq.com/api/v1/openapi.json
curl https://orbythq.com/api/v1/tools \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $ORBYT_KEY"Keep the key on your own server, in a secret store or an environment variable. Don’t put it in a repo, a web page or a phone app.
What you choose when you connect
Orbyt asks before anything is shared. It reads like this:
“Your AI wants to be your Rosie in Orbyt. Rosie will see everything here except Money. You can turn it off anytime.”
Then you pick one of three:
- Everyday help. It sees everything except Money. It can add and change tasks, events, shopping, meals and people.
- Just look. It reads the plan and answers questions. Nothing changes.
- Choose room by room. You pick what it can do in each room.
You can also pick a day your key stops working. Left empty, it works until you turn it off.
What your AI can do
Does it now
Each of these shows who did it, and each can be undone.
- Tells you what’s coming up: the week’s events, your tasks, the shopping list, dinners and who’s cooking, what changed since you last looked, who’s in the house, and your contacts.
- Adds, changes and checks off tasks. Takes a task for you.
- Adds and changes events.
- Adds shopping items and checks them off.
- Sets dinners.
- Adds and changes contacts, and adds notes to them.
For now, your AI sees only the events made in Orbyt. Events that come from a Google or Microsoft calendar you connected aren’t shared with it, and it can’t change them. What it changes on the calendar stays in Orbyt and isn’t sent to your Google or Outlook calendar.
Asks first
These wait for a yes before anything happens.
- Handing a job to someone else. It goes to them as an Ask first request, and they answer “I’ll take it” or “Can’t this time.” Their time stays theirs to give.
- Removing anything.
- Nudging someone. If you say yes, Orbyt sends one gentle note in the app, at most once a day for that task.
- A new email or phone number for a contact, because that’s where a call or message will go.
- Bigger changes to a bill: archiving it, changing its amount or due date, or marking it paid.
If you let your AI see Money and also change other things, Orbyt asks you to allow both, on a step of its own. With both, every shared change it makes waits for your OK in Orbyt.
Never
- Remove members, or change anyone’s role or Money access.
- Change billing or your plan.
- Connect or disconnect a bank.
- Delete your account or your household.
- Switch you to another household.
Money
Money stays hidden unless you decide otherwise. Your AI sees Money only when you have Money access in your household and you chose to share Money when you connected.
- It can see bills that are overdue or coming due, with the amount, due date, status and who owns each one.
- It can add a bill, or a note on one. Each shows who did it and can be undone.
- Account balances and account numbers from a connected bank are never sent to it.
- Orbyt never moves money. Your AI can’t pay a bill, make a transfer or buy anything. Marking a bill paid only records that it was paid.
Turn it off
- In Orbyt: open Settings, then Your Rosie (or Your Eddie), find your AI, and choose Turn off. It stops on its next request.
- In your AI: remove Orbyt from its list of connections.
- If you lose a key: turn that connection off in the same place and make a new key. Orbyt shows a key only once.
- If you leave the household or are removed: your AI’s access ends with it.
Turning it off doesn’t undo what it already did. Those changes stay on the plan with its name on them, and you can undo or remove them like anything else.
If it doesn’t work
- Your AI says Orbyt said no, or shows a 401. Make sure you pasted the whole key and that the app doesn’t add “Bearer” for you twice. Then check Settings, then Your Rosie, that the connection is still on.
- You can’t find Your Rosie in Settings. Connecting is only for beta households and adults for now, and an owner or admin may have turned it off for the household.
- It can’t see Money. That’s on purpose. It needs your Money access and your yes when you connect.
- It says something is waiting. Removals, nudges and bigger bill changes wait for your yes in Orbyt, not in the chat. Open Orbyt and answer there.
- It added something wrong. Undo it from Orbyt Home, where the change shows with who made it. Undo works for 30 days, as long as no one has changed the item since.
Still stuck? Our support page has the details, or write to support@orbythq.com.
Privacy, in short
- Your AI reads what you can see in Orbyt, except Money unless you share it.
- The company behind your AI handles what it reads under its own terms and privacy policy. Orbyt doesn’t control that.
- Orbyt keeps a record of each request: when, which AI, what it did, and whether it worked. The record doesn’t hold what was said. For changes your AI makes, Orbyt also keeps a copy of the item as it was for 30 days, so you can undo.
- Every adult in your household can see which AIs are connected.
